Holiday Lights Begins Tonight!

Kennywood’s fourth annual Holiday Lights event begins this evening, Friday November 28th! The event runs Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through December 21st from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. Kennywood Railroad Property Tour

On Sunday, July 27th as part of KennyKon XXV with ACE Western Pennsylvania, we had the opportunity to tour Kennywood’s railroad property. The property, located in the ravine behind Racer, was previously used as locomotive repair shops for the Union Railroad, and is primarily being used for storage at this time. Thunderbolt Named Kennywood’s Third ACE Roller Coaster Landmark

Today, Thunderbolt was named an “ACE Roller Coaster Landmark” by American Coaster Enthusiasts. This makes it the park’s third coaster, after Jack Rabbit and Racer, with the designation. This also makes Kennywood the only park in the world to be home to three ACE Roller Coaster Landmarks!
