Kennywood’s Pitt Fall Up For Sale

The rumors that Kennywood is considering removing Pitt Fall after the 2011 season are confirmed to be true. International Rides Management (www.irmpri.com) has listed what is clearly Pittfall as being up for sale on their Facebook page. The fact that they are investigating the sale of the ride, however, still does not yet confirm 100% that the ride will be gone next year, as that will likely depend on how the sale goes.

Now, the question is what (if anything) will be replacing Pittfall in 2012 if sale of the ride does happen. Any thoughts of what it could be, or what you would like to see? Join the discussion here!

New Kennywood Web Site Live!

Kennywood went live with a brand new version of their web site today! The site has been completely redesigned and, in our opinion, is a very welcome improvement over the old site. Head over to www.kennywood.com to check it out today!

Please note that they are still working out some of the bugs in the site, and they ask for everyone’s patience for a week or so until they get everything perfect.

Live Music Shows Return To Kennywood For 2010

For the past four seasons something has been missing from Kennywood. Since the removal of the Garden Stage at the end of the 2005 season there were no live music shows at Kennywood. In 2010 the music returns to the midway. Two new live music shows will be featured at the Kennyville Stage this summer. Songs of the 80’s and The Beat Goes On featuring songs from the 50’s and 60’s.

Also…The Kenya Safari Acrobats are back and will be performing in the Kennywood Arena.
