Happy Hauntings

Happy Hauntings began in 2017 as a family-friendly complement to the more thrill and horror-oriented Phantom Fright Nights. During this event, Kennywood allows children and their families to enjoy the park in a new light as the traditional rides and attractions operate alongside several exclusive fall activities. Happy Hauntings typically takes place during the afternoon on Saturdays and Sundays in October and does not include admission to Phantom Fright Nights.

In 2019, Happy Hauntings includes the Jack Rabbit, Paratrooper, Merry-Go-Round, Ghostwood Estate, Pirate, Thomas Town and Kiddieland. A special movie also plays at the 4-D Theater for the event. Attractions exclusive to Happy Hauntings are as follows:
