 WATER RIDES

Built By: OD Hopkins
Opened: 1995

The Pittsburg Plunge which opened in 1995 as part of the parks Lost Kennywood is a reworked version of the old Shoot-the-Chute boat rides of the early 1900's. Its now just another way to cool off on hot summer days, and get this you don't even have to ride, to get wet.

Built By: Arrow Dynamics, Inc.
Opened: 1975

The Log Jammer was Kennywood's first million dollar ride. It was the first ride at Kennywood to get people WET. Built in 1975 the Log Jammer, is Kennywood's mildest water ride but, it still offers riders the chance to cool off those hot summer days. The Log Jammer's main feature is its final 53 ft. plunge.

Built By: Intamin
Opened: 1985

With the success of the Log Jammer, Kennywood built its second water ride in 1985. Unfortunately this meant removing the Dipper coaster. The Raging Rapids soon became Kennywood's wildest, wettest water ride. This ride simulates the thrills of white water rafting, and totally soaks riders.
