Operating since 1846, Lake Compounce holds the title of oldest operating amusement park in the United States. Part of the Kennywood family since 1996, the Lake is home to a variety of rides and attractions, from its historic carousel and Wildcat coaster to the ever-expanding Crocodile Cove waterpark, to the new Phobia Phear Coaster. Perhaps its most noteworthy feature is Boulder Dash, built on the side of a mountain and named the top wooden coaster in the world by Amusement Today.
